18.00 Inversions Workshop – Mastery over Fear

This workshop will explore the exciting world of inversions and learn how to safely and confidently practice these challenging poses. Inversions are a powerful way to build strength, increase flexibility, and improve physical and mental balance. During this workshop, we will cover a variety of inversions, including headstand, forearm stand, and shoulder stand. We will break down each pose step by step, providing modifications and variations to accommodate all experience levels. Whether you are a beginner or have some inversion experience, this workshop will help deepen your practice and take your yoga journey to new heights.
Here is an overview of what you can expect from our inversion yoga workshop:
1. Warm-up and Preparation: We will start with a gentle warm-up to awaken the body and prepare it for inversions. This will include stretching and strengthening exercises targeting the core, shoulders, and wrists.
2. Alignment and Technique: Proper alignment is crucial for safe and effective inversions. We will focus on the correct alignment of the spine, shoulders, and hips, as well as the engagement of the core muscles. You will learn to use props and modifications to support your practice and gradually progress toward more advanced variations.
3. Building Strength and Stability: Inversions require a strong foundation. We will build strength in the upper body, core, and legs through specific exercises and drills. You will learn how to engage the correct muscles and find balance in each inversion.
4. Overcoming Fear and Mental Blocks: Inversions can be intimidating, especially for new ones. We will address any fears or mental blocks that may arise and provide techniques to overcome them. You will learn to cultivate a positive mindset and trust your abilities.
5. Cool Down and Relaxation: We will end the workshop with a gentle cool-down sequence to release any tension in the body and promote relaxation. You can reflect on your practice and set intentions for incorporating inversions into your regular yoga routine.
